SEBI issued new rule for NSE and BSE

SEBI’s circular said that after discussions with the agencies, it has been decided that the rules of the BSE and BSC will be vice-a-versa which means that both the agencies will have to require one another as an alternative trading venue. I work in.

There will be no problem in trading from April 1, 2025

BSE and NSE will work as alternative trading venues for others from April 1, 2025. Keep trading going in the stock market even if there is a technical problem. SEBI has said in its statement that from April 1, 2025, BSE and NSE working as alternative trading venues for others means that if there is a technical problem in BSE, then the change will be made on NSE. If the same problem is in NSE, then the change will be made on BSE.

What did market regulator SEBI say

Market regulator SEBI says that this decision has been taken after discussions with the exchanges. Both the reviewers will prepare a joint stand operating procedure (SOP) which will have to be submitted to SEBI within 60 days from the date of circular of the SOP.

SEBI said that this rule may come into effect from April 1, in a notification issued on Thursday. There is no need to do anything separate in the document to be issued for such category of products.

If the issuer does not have any other approval then there is no opportunity to review the issuer’s related stocks derivative products. Provide example of derivative products NSE has derivatives for Nifty, Nifty Mid Cap and Nifty Next 50 while BSE has no related stocks derivatives for Nifty.

How it will work

As per SEBI’s order, if due to any reason some irregularity is found in NSE or BSE, then within 75 minutes no information will be given to SEBI on the basis of the incident and business continuity plan will have to be implemented, alternate trading venue will be implemented.
